31 Day Fat Loss Cure: Update

posted by Vickie

Hope everyone is losing weight and feeling great using the “31 Day Fat Loss Cure”.

I have kept my original 20 pounds off plus I have lost an additional 4 pounds by just eating healthier.  I will confess–I do eat foods I shouldn’t but by staying on the basic program I am not putting any weight back on.

I crave fruit and veggies.  I go through withdrawal if I don’t eat them every day.  You can add a few carbs and still keep your weight under control and your belly FLAT!

So, just watch and don’t overdo and you will keep weight off and stay looking good!

Weight Loss Secrets: Can “fat free” make you fat?

Stay away from all “fat free” products if possible.  Research has shown that fat substitutes may interfer with your body’s natural ability to regulate how much food is enough causing you to eat more.

Also, diet sodas are popular because people think that the word “diet” equals weight loss.  People who drink 2 or more diet sodas daily have a 6 time greater increase  in waist circumference than people who never drink diet sodas at all.

Hope these “weight loss secrets” help in your journey to lose weight and eat healthy!

Weight Loss Secrets: Eating on the run….

March 9, 2012 @ 5:54 am

We all have times when we have to catch our meals on the run.  Planning ahead and knowing what to order when you reach that fast food restaurant will greatly help.

You probably know what restaurants are close by.  So, check online to see what their menus are and keep them in your car to help avoid last minute temptation.

Remember, eating healthy and watching calories can be easy if planning is done.

Yes, there is now information suggesting that you can break certain diet rules and still get the same benefits.

1. You do not have to drink your “8 glasses of water” per day.  You can eat your liquids.  Much of your daily requirements is contained in foods.  Fruits, veggies and even oatmeal all contain water.  Watermelon and cucumbers are more than 90 percent water–you also get valuable antioxdants as well.  So, drink your water but also remember that you can get part of your daily requirements from food.

2. Consume 9 servings of fruits and vegetables a day.  Yes, you should eat your fruits and veggies but how do you know what a serving is?  Stop counting portion sizes and instead make half of every meal produce.  Some veggies at dinner, a spinach salad at lunch, and sliced bananas and some berries at breakfast should get you where you need to be at.

Hope these “Weight Loss Secrets” help.

In the 31 Day Fat Loss Cure program, Vic strongly recommends that you take fish oil.

Fish oil has been proven to be a very important part of your daily diet.  If you are like me, I am not really fond of fish–especially not enough to meet the daily requirements.

I personally recommend “Barleans Fish Oil”.  I have taken it for several years and really like it.  It does not have a fishy taste and you are not belching it up later in the day.  I prefer the orange flavored but the lemon is good too.

That is why I have it listed on my products page on my web site.  Be sure you check it out.  Like I said, I highly recommend it and feel that you will be very happy with it also.

Have any questions, let me know.

Weight Loss Secrets: Healthier Fast Food Choices!

When you enter a fast food restaurant–you are vulnerable to calories and money.  Here are some more “weight loss secrets”.  Share these with your friends.

You think salads are good for you but the dressing usually ruins the low calorie benefits and can be very expensive at that.

When you know that you are going to be gone for awhile, try to plan ahead and decide what you are going to eat before you get too hungry to make sound decisions.

Taco Bell:  The best bet is usually ordering the hard shell tacos and resist the temptation to add sour cream.  Stick with water or unsweeten tea.

Burger King:  The Whoopper Junior has 360 calories compared to the regular Whopper that has 670 calories–and hold the fries.

McDonald’s:  Rather than a Grilled Chicken Sandwich, choose the smaller honey mustand chicken wrap.  It’s just 260 calories and 8 grams of fat.  Pair it with a Fruit and Walnut salad and you have a great meal.

You can go online and check the fast-food chains menus and calories.  You will be glad you did.

Weight Loss Secrets: Snacks That You Thought Were Healthy!

February 17, 2012 @ 5:30 am

When I come across ”weight loss secrets” involving  misconceptions dealing with low fat  food, I like to share them with you.

Snacks seem to be the one that confuses people the most.  Here are just a few that may surprise you.

1.  Granola-It has a lot of hidden calories.  We all feel that we are eating healthy and really taking care of our body by eating it.  Truth be told in small doses, granola is super satisfying and can provide many health benefits.  But add in excess sugar and large portions and this snack isn’t so wholesome anymore.  So, look for brands that are low in sugar and remember that a 1/2 cup serving has 200-250 calories!

2.  Pretzels-This came as a shock to me.  I love them.  They are not filling in a satisfying way, and that could lead you to consume too many empty carbs.  Also, the salt is really hight in most brands.  Look for oat bran or whole grain pretzels and for a more satisfying snack, stick to standard serving size (10-15 depending on the brand and size).  Dip them in natrual peanut butter, hummus, or guacamole.  I tried this and it really is good…

I will write more on this subject later.  Happy snacking.

31 Day Fat Loss Cure: Update

OK.  I think I have figured out how to leave sugar alone.

No, it’s not some magic cure–it’s just wanting to look good.

I was eating some cake and ice cream today and started thinking how good it was.  However, 30 minutes later I could barely remember how it tasted.  Was it worth the sacrifice I had made.  NO!!  Losing weight and belly fat will make me feel a million times better than that few moments of enjoyment I had eating the cake.

So, I looked at some of my clothes I still cannot wear that I really like and thought about how great I will feel once I get the weight off and lose more of my belly fat.

Hope this helps everyone who may be going through the same thing.  Just think about  how great you will look and feel this summer…I am.

Keep in touch,

Weight Loss Secrets: How to beat the “Diet Derailers”

February 8, 2012 @ 5:45 am

I have several subscriptions to weight loss and exercise magazines.  A lot of the magazines offer “Weight Loss Secrets” for  food choices at popular restaurants.  I happened across this one and thought it might help my fellow weight watching friend (these are 3 of my favorite restaurants).

Denny’s:  Instead having the “All American Slam” at 1,280 calories try their “Fit Slam” at only 390 calories.

Applebee’s:  Instead of having the “Shrimp and Parmesan Sirloin” at 1,270 calories try their “Roasted Garlic Sirloin” at only 450 calories.

Boston Market:  Instead of having their “Rotisserie Chicken with Creamed Spinach and Loaded Mashed Potatoes” try their “Skinless Chicken with Garlicky Lemon Spinach and Mashed Potatoes”.

You still get good tasting food for less calories!
